Overview
Contour Airlines is hiring an Embraer ERJ-135/145 Captain for its Luis Munoz Marin International Airport operation in Puerto Rico. This full-time command position is built around safe and reliable Part 135 on-demand flying, passenger service and professional leadership. The starting annual salary is $118,000, with scheduled increases based on performance and possible additional overrides for check-pilot, AR/GUS or in-base assignments. Captains must live within 120 minutes of the assigned station and remain available for varying schedules. The role also requires regulatory screening, a current passport, authorisation for U.S. employment and international travel, and the ability to maintain the aircraft's safe, clean and passenger-ready condition.
Responsibilities
- Place safety ahead of every other operational consideration.
- Operate assigned aircraft under Part 135 on-demand rules.
- Complete company duties in accordance with its manuals and policies.
- Conduct preflight planning and prepare the required flight plans.
- Deliver professional customer service to passengers.
- Keep the aircraft clean, ready, safe, and comfortable for passengers.
- Comply with the employer's uniform and appearance standards.
- Perform other duties assigned by leadership.
Requirements
- Hold a valid U.S. Airline Transport Pilot certificate.
- Be at least 23 years old.
- Hold a current First-Class Medical Certificate, verified at interview.
- Have at least 1,500 total hours, 500 PIC hours, and 500 multi-engine hours.
- Be authorized to work in the United States and able to travel internationally.
- Hold a valid passport and driver's licence with a good driving record.
- Hold an English Proficiency Endorsement.
- Be able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and variable schedules.
- Reside within 120 minutes of the assigned duty station.
- Have no excessive check-ride failures or prior aviation accidents or incidents.
- Be able to lift 75 pounds routinely, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Pass the required drug and alcohol screening, employment-history review, background check, and fingerprinting.
- Be able to work in accordance with applicable OSHA, EPA, state, and federal rules.
