Overview

Silver Air Private Jets is recruiting a full-time Gulfstream GIV captain for an onsite Teterboro assignment. The captain prepares and operates each trip safely, checks maintenance status and airworthiness, completes preflight planning, and ensures regulatory and company-procedure compliance. The role calls for a highly experienced multi-engine commander with substantial turbine and GIV time, a current First Class medical, and availability for a flexible around-the-clock schedule. Part 135 experience is preferred. The advertised annual salary range is $240,000 to $260,000, with benefits including medical, dental and vision coverage, paid time off, retirement support, and travel-related benefits. The position combines aircraft-command accountability with polished client service and detailed trip documentation.

Responsibilities

- Review maintenance status and confirm the aircraft is airworthy before dispatch.
- Complete the required preflight inspection under the aircraft flight manual.
- Assess weather, route facilities, destinations, and suitable alternates.
- Operate every trip under company procedures and applicable flight regulations.
- Protect the safety of passengers, aircraft, and crew.
- Complete required post-trip and operational paperwork.

Requirements

  • Have at least 3,500 total flight hours.
  • Have at least 3,000 PIC hours.
  • Have at least 3,000 multi-engine hours, including 2,000 multi-engine PIC hours.
  • At least 1,750 turbine hours are preferred.
  • Have at least 200 hours on type, including 100 PIC hours on type.
  • Hold a GIV type rating or possess comparable-aircraft experience.
  • Maintain a current First Class medical certificate.
  • Part 135 operating experience is preferred.
  • Meet the stated ICAO Annex I flight-crew standard.
  • Be eligible for CANPASS operations.
  • Demonstrate strong client service, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Accept a flexible schedule with round-the-clock availability.
