Overview

Star Wings Dortmund is seeking a Type Rating Instructor, preferably qualified on the Cessna 525 series, to support its Aviation Training Center. The opportunity is available as permanent employment, part-time work or a freelance engagement and is based in Dortmund. Candidates must already possess the appropriate European commercial licence and instructor or synthetic-flight-instructor privilege, together with a current medical and German employment eligibility. The role is intended for an experienced on-type instructor with meaningful command time, strong professional presentation and the flexibility to work within a growing business-aviation training organisation. Residence in the Westphalia region is advantageous, while German and English communication are both required.

Responsibilities

- Provide type-rating instruction within the company's Aviation Training Center.
- Support training capability on the Cessna 525 series.
- Work under the selected permanent, part-time or freelance arrangement.
- Maintain professional conduct, teamwork and flexibility in the training environment.

Requirements

  • Hold a valid EASA CPL(A) with a TRI entry or a valid SFI authorisation.
  • Hold a valid EASA Class 1 medical certificate.
  • Have at least 1,000 hours on type and 500 PIC hours when holding a C525 TRI.
  • Have unrestricted permission to live and work in Germany.
  • Hold a valid aviation security clearance and driving licence.
  • Communicate very effectively in German and English, with at least Level 4 English.
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork, professional manners, flexibility and resilience.
  • Residence in the Westphalia area is preferred.
