Overview
Chevron Aviation Services is recruiting a Principal Airplane Pilot in Sugar Land, Texas, with applications accepted through 26 August 2026. The pilot supports worldwide corporate operations, completes both flying and collateral assignments, and must be capable of assuming command. Duties span operational decision-making, aircraft inspections, crew supervision and compliance with United States and international regulations. The position is aimed at a highly experienced Gulfstream pilot with extensive multi-engine and large-cabin exposure, recent flying activity and unrestricted international availability. Employment visa sponsorship is not available, while relocation may be considered for a successful domestic candidate.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the highest practical safety standard during all assignments.
- Complete aircraft inspections before and after flight.
- Operate internationally without destination restrictions.
- Assume pilot-in-command duties when required.
- Supervise the crew and ensure regulatory compliance when acting as Captain.
- Evaluate weather and decide whether to delay, reroute or cancel a flight.
- Complete collateral projects assigned by flight leadership.
Requirements
- Hold a Gulfstream GVI type rating.
- Have at least 5,000 hours of total pilot time.
- Have at least 2,500 multi-engine hours.
- Have at least 1,000 hours on type or a comparable large-cabin aircraft.
- Have flown at least 200 hours during the preceding 12 months.
- Hold an FAA First Class medical certificate.
- Hold an FAA airline transport pilot certificate.
- Have EFIS, EICAS and flight-management-system experience.
- Be able to operate to every international destination required.
- International and oceanic experience and a bachelor's degree are preferred.
