Overview
Contour is recruiting a full-time captain for its Embraer Legacy 600 charter fleet. The home-based position operates under Part 135 and follows an eight-days-on, six-days-off rotation. Captains exercise final authority, conduct risk-based flight preparation, lead their crews and provide professional passenger service. Applicants must be current and proficient on the Legacy, hold the applicable PIC type rating, and satisfy detailed total, command and aircraft-specific experience thresholds. The selection process includes technical and panel interviews as well as standard safety-sensitive screening.
Responsibilities
- Act as pilot in command under FAA regulations and company policy.
- Exercise final authority for every assigned flight.
- Complete pre-flight planning and operational risk assessments.
- Apply company manuals, SOPs and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain aircraft readiness, cleanliness and presentation.
- Provide professional customer service to passengers.
- Use effective CRM and mentor assigned first officers.
Requirements
- Have at least 3,000 total flight hours.
- Have at least 1,500 PIC hours.
- Have 1,000 hours on the Legacy type and 250 PIC hours on type.
- Hold a valid ATP certificate and applicable Legacy 600 PIC type rating.
- Hold a current FAA First Class medical certificate.
- Hold a valid passport and maintain current aircraft proficiency.
- Pass required drug, alcohol, employment, criminal and fingerprint screening.
