Overview
MGM Resorts is recruiting a corporate aviation captain in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Acting as pilot in command under Part 91, the captain has final authority for the aircraft and overall responsibility for crew, passengers, cargo and the safe conduct of each company flight. The role covers flight planning, airworthiness, weather and performance review, passenger briefings, documentation, maintenance coordination and cabin readiness. Applicants need substantial total and multi-engine jet experience, large-cabin and advanced-avionics exposure, and the ability to obtain a type rating on a company aircraft.
Responsibilities
- Exercise final authority for safe aircraft operation and direct the flight crew.
- Confirm airworthiness, required documents and crew understanding before departure.
- Decide whether to start, delay, cancel or divert a flight as conditions require.
- Prepare or supervise flight plans using weather, terrain, performance and airport information.
- Verify weight and balance, flight locating procedures, passenger briefings and secured cargo.
- Ensure completion of logs and prompt reporting of mechanical irregularities.
- Coordinate maintenance discrepancies and current aircraft status with maintenance staff.
- Confirm aircraft cleanliness, stores and catering before flight.
Requirements
- Bring at least three years of relevant aviation experience.
- Have no FAA violations or at-fault aviation accidents or incidents.
- Have at least 3,000 total flight hours.
- Have at least 2,500 hours on multi-engine jets.
- Have experience operating large-cabin aircraft.
- Have experience with advanced electronic or digital avionics cockpits.
- Hold or be able to obtain a type rating on a company aircraft.
- A related bachelor's degree, current company-aircraft qualification and VVIP experience are preferred.
