Overview

Pentastar Aviation is recruiting a Challenger 604 pilot in command to join an established two-pilot crew at Oakland County International Airport in Waterford, Michigan. The Part 91 assignment involves responsibility for passenger and crew safety, comfortable and timely aircraft operation, regulatory compliance, flight planning, performance calculations, training currency, and other aircraft-related work between trips. The company estimates roughly 300 flight hours annually. Candidates need significant total time, multiengine instrument qualifications, turbojet experience, business-aviation exposure, and the ability to accommodate a changing schedule. The selected pilot must reside within two hours of Waterford and be able to maintain first-class medical certification.

Responsibilities

- Serve as pilot in command within the existing two-pilot Challenger 604 crew.
- Safeguard passengers and crew while providing comfortable, timely aircraft operation.
- Ensure flight and ground activity complies with applicable federal regulations.
- Plan routes, speeds, departures and arrivals to meet scheduling needs.
- Complete preflight planning and aircraft performance calculations.
- Maintain initial and recurrent training currency and process trip expenses.

Requirements

  • Hold a Commercial certificate with multiengine and instrument ratings.
  • Have prior turbojet experience.
  • Have at least 4,000 hours of total flight time.
  • Have prior business-aviation experience.
  • Be able to manage a changing work schedule.
  • Obtain and maintain an FAA First Class medical certificate.
  • Live within two hours of Waterford, Michigan.
  • An ATP certificate is preferred.
  • A bachelor's degree and ATP-CTP completion for non-ATP holders are preferred.
