Overview

Skyborne is recruiting a permanent multi-engine flight instructor for its Bournemouth training centre. The instructor delivers flight and simulator training to airline-focused students, following the approved ATO manual, published programme and operations procedures. Each lesson includes structured briefing, debriefing and a consistent focus on flight safety. The role uses modern aircraft, simulators and courseware within a specialist academy environment. Candidates need unrestricted United Kingdom instructor privileges covering single-engine, night, commercial, instrument and multi-engine training, together with minimum total, instructional and multi-engine command experience. A current UK Class 1 medical and the required employment eligibility complete the core profile.

Responsibilities

- Deliver multi-engine flight and simulator instruction to academy trainees.
- Conduct training under the approved ATO manual and published schedule.
- Provide structured pre-session briefings and post-session debriefings.
- Follow all procedures in the ATO operations manual.
- Maintain flight safety throughout every training activity.
- Use current aircraft, simulators and courseware to support trainee progress.

Requirements

  • At least 500 hours of total flight time.
  • At least 200 hours of instructional time.
  • At least 30 PIC hours on multi-engine land aeroplanes.
  • Unrestricted UK CAA Part-FCL Flight Instructor (A) certificate.
  • Instructional privileges for SEP land, night, CPL, instrument and MEP land training.
  • Current unrestricted UK CAA Class 1 medical.
  • Ability to work from the Bournemouth training location.
