Overview
Solairus is hiring a full-time Gulfstream G550 captain for a Teterboro operation. Before flight, the pilot reviews maintenance status, completes the approved inspection, and evaluates weather, route facilities, destinations, and alternates. The captain protects passengers, aircraft, and crew, follows federal and company procedures, and closes each trip with accurate paperwork. Minimum experience is 3,000 total hours, 1,500 PIC, 1,500 multi-engine, 500 multi-engine PIC, 500 turbojet, and 250 instrument. Candidates also need a G550 or comparable rating, First Class medical, on-call availability, annual international-procedures training, and a home within two hours of KTEB.
Responsibilities
- Command the Gulfstream G550 and ensure safe, prudent flight operation.
- Review aircraft maintenance status and complete the required pre-flight inspection.
- Check weather, route facilities, destination airports, and alternates.
- Apply company procedures and applicable federal aviation regulations.
- Protect passengers, aircraft, and crew and complete trip paperwork accurately.
Requirements
- Have at least 3,000 total hours and 1,500 PIC hours.
- Have 1,500 multi-engine hours, including 500 multi-engine PIC hours.
- Have at least 500 turbojet hours and 250 instrument hours.
- Hold a Gulfstream G550 type rating or comparable aircraft qualification.
- Maintain a First Class medical certificate.
- Be available on call and complete annual ICAO international-procedures training.
- Live within two hours of Teterboro or be willing to relocate.
