Overview

Solairus Aviation is hiring a full-time Gulfstream G800 Captain for a client operation at Hillsboro Airport in Oregon. The captain is responsible for the safe, prudent conduct of each mission, including aircraft-status review, preflight inspection, route and alternate planning, regulatory compliance, passenger and crew safety, and accurate trip documentation. The position is non-remote and requires the pilot to live within two hours of the airport or relocate. Applicants need substantial total, command, multiengine, turbine-jet, and instrument experience, plus a relevant type rating or comparable-aircraft background. The crew member must also support on-call scheduling and recurrent international-procedures training.

Responsibilities

- Operate the assigned Gulfstream G800 safely and prudently.
- Review aircraft maintenance status before flight.
- Complete the required preflight inspection.
- Evaluate weather, route facilities, destination and alternate airports.
- Follow company procedures and applicable federal regulations.
- Protect passengers, crew and aircraft and complete trip paperwork accurately.

Requirements

  • Have at least 3,000 hours of total flight time.
  • Have at least 1,500 PIC hours.
  • Have at least 1,500 hours on multiengine land aircraft.
  • Have at least 500 multiengine PIC hours.
  • Have at least 500 hours on turbojet aircraft and 250 instrument hours.
  • Hold a G800 type rating or comparable-aircraft qualification.
  • Hold a First Class medical certificate.
  • Be available on call and complete annual international-procedures training.
  • Live within two hours of Hillsboro Airport or be willing to relocate.
