Overview
Solairus Aviation is recruiting a full-time Phenom 300 second-in-command for an operation based at Indianapolis Executive Airport in Zionsville, Indiana. The SIC joins a client-focused flight team responsible for operating the Phenom safely, professionally, and in line with the operator's standards for safety, service, and integrity. Preparation includes reviewing maintenance status, conducting the approved preflight inspection, and checking weather and facilities for the route, destination, and alternates. During each assignment, the pilot must follow company procedures and applicable federal operating rules, protect passengers, aircraft, and crew, and complete trip paperwork correctly. The position is on call and requires residence within two hours of KTYQ or relocation to that radius.
Responsibilities
- Support the safe operation of the assigned Phenom 300 aircraft.
- Review the aircraft's maintenance status before flight.
- Complete the prescribed preflight inspection using the approved flight manual.
- Check weather and facilities along the route and at destination and alternate airports.
- Conduct flights under company policies, procedures, and applicable federal aviation rules.
- Safeguard passengers, the aircraft, and fellow crew members.
- Complete all trip documentation accurately under current procedures.
Requirements
- Have at least 1,000 total flight hours.
- Have at least 500 PIC hours.
- Have at least 500 multiengine land hours.
- Have at least 100 multiengine land PIC hours.
- Have at least 100 turbojet hours.
- Have at least 75 instrument hours.
- Hold a Phenom 300 type rating or a rating on a comparable aircraft.
- Hold a first-class medical certificate.
- Be available to work on call.
- Complete international-procedures training annually.
- Live within a two-hour drive of KTYQ or be willing to relocate.
