Overview
Sun Country Airlines is accepting first officer applications for its Boeing 737-800 fleet in Minneapolis. Pilots may operate scheduled passenger, charter and cargo services within the carrier's diversified network and complete initial training through its advanced qualification programme before beginning line operations. Candidates may qualify through a standard ATP route at 1,500 hours or an approved restricted-ATP pathway based on general, college or military experience, with thresholds ranging from 750 to 1,500 hours. Required credentials include a current FAA Class 1 medical, FCC radio licence, United States work authorisation, valid travel documents and a US driving licence. Fluent English and the detailed restricted-ATP experience components are also required; recent flying experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Operate Boeing 737-800 scheduled, charter and cargo services as first officer.
- Support safe flight preparation, monitoring and crew coordination.
- Apply company procedures and the standards taught through the advanced qualification programme.
- Maintain professional communication with crew, operations and passengers.
Requirements
- Eligible through a full ATP route at 1,500 hours or an approved restricted-ATP pathway.
- Restricted-ATP total-time pathways include 1,500, 1,250, 1,000 and 750 hours depending on education or military background.
- Restricted-ATP routes require 250 airplane PIC hours and the stated cross-country, night, instrument and multi-engine experience.
- Current FAA Class 1 medical certificate.
- FCC radio licence.
- Legal authorisation to work in the United States.
- Valid United States passport, or passport with permanent-resident documentation, and unrestricted network travel ability.
- Valid United States driving licence and high-school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
- Recent flight experience is preferred.
