Overview

Amentum is hiring a full-time, on-site First Officer in Las Vegas to serve as second in command on the Boeing 737-600NG. The pilot transports passengers and cargo, alternates between pilot-flying and pilot-monitoring duties, and supports the Captain if continuity of command is required. This union-represented role operates within a regulated Part 121 environment and requires both a current U.S. Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance and Las Vegas airport access credentials. The position carries an hourly hiring rate of $50.11 and remains open until filled. Candidates must also maintain the training, checking, medical and travel credentials required for the operation.

Responsibilities

- Operate the Boeing 737-600NG as second in command on passenger and cargo missions.
- Take command if the pilot in command becomes incapacitated.
- Safeguard the passengers, crew, cargo, and aircraft.
- Perform assigned pilot-flying and pilot-monitoring functions.
- Review maintenance records, routing, weather, NOTAMs, and pilot information before departure.
- Calculate aircraft weight and balance plus takeoff and landing performance.
- Remain familiar with applicable regulations and the operational manuals named by the employer.
- Follow regulatory, company, customer-site, and air traffic control instructions.

Requirements

  • Hold an unrestricted FAA Airline Transport Pilot certificate with a Boeing 737 type rating.
  • Hold a current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate; an EKG is required above age 39.
  • Have at least 1,500 in-seat crewmember hours in powered fixed-wing aircraft.
  • Hold a current U.S. Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Hold a current TSA badge for Las Vegas airport.
  • Possess a current U.S. passport or valid U.S. birth certificate.
  • Possess a current U.S. state-issued driver's licence.
  • Meet the applicable Part 121 pilot rules, including the employer's stated age limit.
  • Maintain the training and checking currency required by company policy and Part 121.
