Overview
Summit Air is recruiting a Dash 8 first officer for its Vancouver base through Ledcor's aviation business. The pilot supports safe turboprop operations, represents the airline professionally, and completes assigned pre-flight and post-flight duties. Candidates need Canadian airline transport eligibility, at least 1,000 total hours, and 500 multi-engine hours, together with eligibility for a restricted-area identity card. A Dash 8 rating and British Columbia or mountain experience are advantageous. Scheduling follows the changing needs of charter operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate the Dash 8 safely as an assigned flight crewmember.
- Complete required pre-flight and post-flight duties.
- Represent Summit Air professionally during operational assignments.
Requirements
- Hold a Canadian ATPL or have successfully completed the IATRA examination.
- Have at least 1,000 hours of total flight time.
- Have at least 500 hours of multi-engine flight time.
- Be able to obtain and maintain a restricted-area identity card.
- Meet the employer's safety and drug-and-alcohol programme requirements.
- A Dash 8 type rating is preferred.
- British Columbia and mountain-operating experience are advantageous.
