Overview
Tradewind's West Harrison PC-12 first officer flies in a formal two-pilot crew across scheduled commuter and on-demand charter services. The pilot may help load the aircraft, works nights, weekends, holidays, or short-notice shifts, and must live within a sixty-minute callout of the base. Credentials include an FAA Commercial ASEL certificate, instrument rating, First Class medical, FCC permit, passport, driving licence, and completed Part 61 or 141 training. Standard entry at 800 total hours is preferred, while partner pathways permit 600, 500, or 300 hours depending on programme and recommendation. Because these routes differ, total time remains unpopulated.
Responsibilities
- Operate the Pilatus PC-12 safely and efficiently as part of a two-pilot crew.
- Maintain high standards of safety and customer service.
- Load or unload the aircraft when required.
- Work assigned shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and short-notice duties.
Requirements
- Hold a high-school diploma or GED and complete a Part 61 or Part 141 training programme.
- Hold an FAA Commercial certificate with airplane single-engine land and instrument privileges.
- Maintain an FAA First Class medical certificate, FCC radio permit, passport, and driving licence.
- Eight hundred total hours are preferred for the standard pathway.
- Reduced programme thresholds are 600 hours for United Aviate, 500 for United Aviate Academy, 300 with academy recommendation, or 600 for JetBlue participants.
- Current IFR knowledge, English proficiency, customer-service experience, and computer skills are required.
- Pass required drug and background screening and be authorised to work in the United States.
- Live within a 60-minute callout of base and accept seasonal base moves and non-commuting terms.
