Overview

Transavia is hiring experienced Boeing 737NG Captains for its new Brussels base. The captain joins a developing local team and initially operates the B737NG across varied European routes before receiving conversion training for the Airbus A321neo as the fleet changes. The role carries responsibility for safe and efficient operations, crew leadership, and a professional onboard environment. Applicants need current European flight credentials, substantial total and command-on-type experience, recent B737NG flying, strong English proficiency, and the right to work in the European Union. The airline offers a permanent contract, published roster visibility, travel benefits, and a selection process combining remote testing with a one-day assessment.

Responsibilities

- Take command responsibility for safe and efficient flight operations.
- Lead the crew and maintain a professional, constructive onboard atmosphere.
- Operate a varied European route network from Brussels.
- Support establishment of the new base and transition later to the A321neo.

Requirements

  • Hold a valid EASA ATPL.
  • Hold current multiengine instrument privileges with PBN.
  • Hold a valid Class 1 medical certificate.
  • Hold an MCC certificate and, where applicable, an advanced UPRT certificate.
  • Demonstrate ICAO English Level 5 when applying and Level 6 before employment begins.
  • Hold a valid Boeing 737NG type rating.
  • Have at least 1,000 actual command hours on the B737NG.
  • Have flown at least 50 command hours on type during the preceding six months.
  • Have at least 3,500 hours of total flight time.
  • Have the right to live and work in the European Union.
