Overview
Aegean is inviting experienced airline commanders to join its Airbus A320 operation in Athens without requiring an existing A320 rating. The permanent position is intended for captains with substantial commercial air transport experience on larger aircraft and a strong command background. Candidates can meet the command criterion through either broad experience on aircraft above 40 tonnes or a lower threshold specifically on Airbus fly-by-wire types. The recruitment remains open through 30 September 2026 and requires appropriate European licensing, medical fitness, English proficiency, and unrestricted European employment eligibility.
Requirements
- Hold an EASA ATPL(A) with a valid type rating on an aircraft above 40 tonnes.
- Have at least 5,000 total hours in commercial air transport on aircraft above 40 tonnes.
- Have either 2,000 PIC hours on aircraft above 40 tonnes or 1,000 PIC hours on Airbus fly-by-wire aircraft.
- Hold a valid Class 1 medical certificate.
- Demonstrate English proficiency at ICAO Level 4 or higher.
- Have unrestricted rights to live and work in the European Union.
