Overview
SAS is recruiting direct-entry Airbus A320 captains for Copenhagen. The position targets experienced commanders with a strong total-time foundation, substantial jet or high-speed turboprop experience, and meaningful command time on larger aircraft. Candidates must hold or convert the required European licensing before training, maintain current instrument and medical qualifications, and demonstrate advanced operational English. The role also requires European work eligibility, a suitable record, and experience of winter operations. Successful applicants join the carrier's Copenhagen flight operation and provide safe command leadership within a highly standardised multicrew airline environment.
Requirements
- Have at least 4,000 hours of total flight time.
- Have at least 2,000 hours on jet or high-speed turboprop aircraft.
- Have at least 1,000 PIC hours on aircraft above 55 tonnes.
- Hold an unrestricted EASA ATPL(A).
- Complete any required EASA ATPL, CPL, or MPL conversion before the course begins.
- Hold a valid EASA Class 1 medical certificate and instrument rating.
- Demonstrate English proficiency at ICAO Level 5 or 6.
- Have unrestricted rights to live and work in the European Union.
- Have an acceptable professional and criminal record.
- Bring previous winter-operations experience and complete the required selection checks.
