Overview

Saxon Air Flight Training is hiring flying instructors for its Norwich Airport school. Instructors teach on modern Pipistrel and Diamond aircraft, including electric training aircraft, and guide students through private-pilot training and associated ratings. The work also includes trial and experience flights, student mentoring, professional development, safety activity and company outreach. Candidates may hold either a full or assistant UK CAA instructor qualification and must carry the applicable current medical. Continuing UK work rights, a full UK driving licence and the ability to commute to Norwich Airport are required. Strong communication, an interest in teaching and willingness to complete psychometric assessment are also essential.

Responsibilities

- Deliver flight instruction under Saxon Air standards and UK CAA regulations.
- Support students through PPL training and associated ratings.
- Mentor trainees as they develop confidence, competence and airmanship.
- Conduct trial and experience flights, including electric-aircraft demonstrations.
- Participate in instructor training and professional development.
- Contribute to the organisation's safety culture and operational standards.
- Support outreach and aviation-engagement activities.

Requirements

  • Current UK CAA FI or AFI qualification.
  • Current UK CAA Class 1 or Class 2 medical, as applicable.
  • Existing and continuing right to work in the United Kingdom.
  • Ability to commute to Norwich Airport.
  • Full United Kingdom driving licence.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Genuine interest in teaching and aviation.
  • Flexible, professional approach and willingness to undertake further training.
  • Willingness to complete pre-employment psychometric testing.
