Overview

Air Borealis is recruiting permanent Twin Otter Captains for its crew base in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador. The airline provides scheduled and charter services to remote coastal communities, fishing camps and other destinations across Labrador with an eleven-aircraft Twin Otter fleet. Captains join a locally based operation where rotational commuting is not offered and crews normally return to base after duty. Applicants need Canadian commercial licensing, instrument privileges, a current medical and substantial total and multi-engine experience. The opening accepts applications on an ongoing basis and includes pension, insurance, travel benefits, allowances and a defined monthly days-off entitlement.

Responsibilities

- Command Twin Otter services across Air Borealis destinations and charter routes.
- Support passenger, cargo and community operations from Goose Bay.

Requirements

  • Hold a commercial pilot licence.
  • Hold a valid Transport Canada Group 1 instrument rating.
  • Hold a valid Transport Canada Class 1 medical certificate.
  • Have at least 2,500 hours of total flight time.
  • Have at least 1,000 multi-engine hours.
  • Have either 1,000 PIC hours or 2,000 hours on a similar aircraft type.
  • Be able to obtain and retain a Restricted Area Identity Card.
  • Meet the Transport Canada English Level 4 standard.
  • A valid ATPL is preferred.
