Overview

Air Charter Scotland is recruiting a Birmingham-based First Officer for its Embraer 550, Legacy 500 and Praetor 600 operation. The permanent position follows a fixed seven-days-on, five-days-off roster and mainly serves European missions, with occasional worldwide flying possible under the operator's international certificate. The First Officer is expected to combine precise aircraft handling with strong crew coordination, customer care and commercial awareness in a business-aviation setting. Duties cover aircraft operation, maintenance-status awareness and continued familiarity with company manuals, aviation law and accepted procedures. The vacancy is ongoing and seeks a pilot who treats safety as the central factor in every operational decision while maintaining a polished professional presentation for executive clients.

Responsibilities

- Operate the aircraft under company manuals, the flight manual and published SOPs.
- Confirm that the aircraft's maintenance condition remains acceptable for flight.
- Coordinate crew tasks during normal and emergency operations.
- Maintain strong CRM, customer service and operational-efficiency standards.
- Keep current with company manuals, aviation law and accepted operating practices.
- Maintain a consistently professional appearance and conduct.

Requirements

  • Hold a UK CAA flight crew licence; an EASA licence as well is preferred.
  • Hold a UK Class 1 medical; an EASA medical as well is preferred.
  • Have at least 1,000 hours of total flight time.
  • Have the right to live and work in the United Kingdom.
  • Demonstrate English proficiency at Level 5 or higher.
  • An EMB-550 type rating is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Business or executive VVIP aviation experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrate strong customer service, safety awareness and CRM.
  • Be organised, motivated, communicative and commercially aware.
