Overview
Beond is hiring a Nominated Postholder for Flight Operations to establish and oversee the flight-operations function of a new Bahrain air operator certificate. Based in Manama, the appointee reports to the Accountable Manager and leads certification, regulatory compliance, operating standards, manuals, crew-support functions and the departmental safety system. The role requires senior operational knowledge and formal acceptance by Bahrain's civil aviation regulator. It is suited to an experienced aviation leader who understands flight-time limitations, safety standards and the practical launch of an AOC. Recent Airbus A320-family command and previous postholder or start-up experience are advantageous but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Maintain safe, efficient and compliant flight operations under Bahrain requirements.
- Set operational standards, safety policy and effective procedures.
- Manage the flight-operations budget and oversee scheduling and operations control.
- Review routes, aerodromes and flight-crew competence.
- Control the issue and revision of operating and cabin manuals.
- Implement regulatory changes with compliance monitoring.
- Lead crew resource management and the departmental safety system.
Requirements
- Hold, or have held, an ATPL or CPL with ratings suitable for the operation.
- Have at least five years of relevant work experience.
- Include at least two years in an appropriate aeronautical-industry position.
- Have practical expertise applying aviation safety standards and operating practices.
- Know Bahrain regulations, operations manuals and flight-time-limitation schemes thoroughly.
- Be formally acceptable to the Bahrain Civil Aviation Affairs regulator.
- Recent A320-family command and prior postholder or new-AOC experience are desirable.
