Overview
Everts Air is recruiting a Part 121 chief pilot in Fairbanks. Reporting to the director of operations, the chief pilot oversees crew qualifications, records, scheduling, currency and flight-time limitations while maintaining regulatory compliance and safe operations. The position also directs flightcrew training and standardization, controls approved manuals, supports operating-policy development and acts as a check pilot or delegates checks to approved personnel. It is a full-time leadership assignment with line-captain currency, test-flying and personnel-management responsibilities, plus domestic and international travel when required.
Responsibilities
- Maintain approved crew, aircraft, flight and manual records.
- Direct flightcrew training, standardization and remedial training.
- Assign and schedule enough current, qualified pilots for operations.
- Monitor crew currency, checks, medicals and ground-training deadlines.
- Act as a check pilot or appoint approved check pilots.
- Select flight personnel for upgrading and conduct test flights when required.
- Supervise staff and address performance, attendance and conduct matters.
- Keep the director of operations informed of significant issues.
Requirements
- Meet the Chief Pilot qualification standards in 14 CFR 119.67(b).
- Remain current and qualified as a regular line captain on one company aircraft type.
- Understand aviation safety practices, federal regulations, operations specifications, airworthiness requirements and company manuals.
- Hold a valid United States passport and driving licence.
- Pass drug screening and airport criminal-history checks.
- Have at least three years of relevant experience.
