Overview
Flexjet is hiring an Instructor Pilot at the CAE Training Center near Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. The role delivers classroom and simulator instruction to company Captains and First Officers, evaluates proficiency and supports both initial and recurrent programmes. The instructor also contributes to courseware, curriculum certification and the alignment of training content with current company operations, procedures and regulatory requirements. This position requires frequent direct interaction with operating crews, accurate performance assessment and constructive feedback. It suits an FAA-qualified airline transport pilot who is comfortable travelling, maintaining detailed training records and working in a demanding environment while supporting the company's safety, security and quality systems.
Responsibilities
- Deliver simulator, classroom, initial and recurrent instruction to company pilots.
- Evaluate pilot proficiency objectively and provide constructive feedback.
- Develop courseware and structured training materials.
- Support certification of simulator, FTD and FMS curricula.
- Teach CRM, SOPs, checklist philosophy, crew roles and briefing practices.
- Keep training procedures aligned with current flight operations.
- Monitor regulatory changes affecting training.
- Maintain accurate records and support safety, security and quality systems.
Requirements
- Hold an FAA ATP with a type rating on at least one aircraft in the company fleet.
- Be able to travel as required.
- Understand regulatory requirements affecting pilot training.
- Understand simulator-based training programme structure and current instructional design.
- Be able to assess pilot performance accurately and impartially.
- Communicate and present effectively in writing and in person.
- Maintain complete records and submit required documentation promptly.
- Be proficient with common office and aviation software.
- One year of company pilot experience is preferred.
