Overview
Onni is recruiting a captain and operations manager for its corporate flight department. The position combines Part 91 line flying with oversight of crew qualifications, duty limits, airworthiness, training, records, safety programmes, manuals, and operating procedures. The appointee coordinates with regulators, internal leaders, and external aviation partners while ensuring each trip is properly planned and the aircraft remains ready. Candidates need extensive professional flight experience, an FAA airline transport certificate and medical, multi-engine turbine exposure, strong regulatory knowledge, and prior leadership within a corporate aviation environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain compliant Part 91 flight operations and crew duty practices.
- Coordinate with regulators, internal stakeholders, and aviation partners.
- Oversee crew training, qualifications, and records.
- Develop and maintain safety programmes, manuals, and procedures.
- Verify pre-flight planning and aircraft readiness.
- Manage training-provider relationships and recurrent qualification activity.
- Monitor airworthiness, operational risk, and departmental compliance.
Requirements
- Hold an FAA ATP certificate and current FAA First Class medical certificate.
- Hold current instrument and type privileges, or be able to obtain the required type qualification.
- Have at least 5,000 total flight hours with substantial multi-engine turbine experience.
- Bring corporate flight-department experience.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of applicable federal aviation regulations.
- Have prior chief-pilot, training, supervisory, or comparable leadership experience.
- Understand crew scheduling, duty limits, airworthiness, and operational risk.
- Be able to develop and administer aviation manuals and procedures.
