Overview
SWISS is recruiting Direct Entry A320 First Officers for full-time positions at Zurich Airport. The pilot represents the airline and shares responsibility with the crew for safe, punctual and efficient passenger and cargo operations. Daily work includes flight preparation and execution under company procedures, coordination with crew, ground teams and air traffic control, and support or substitution of the Commander when required. SWISS also expects pilots to maintain their professional knowledge independently and act responsibly and sustainably. Candidates need a current European licence, A320 rating, multiengine instrument privileges and documented on-type experience, along with appropriate education, medical fitness, language skills and Swiss or eligible European citizenship.
Responsibilities
- Operate company aircraft safely, efficiently and punctually.
- Prepare and conduct flights under SWISS procedures.
- Coordinate with crew, ground personnel and air traffic control.
- Support the Commander and act as deputy when required.
- Maintain and deepen professional knowledge independently.
- Act responsibly while supporting passenger and operational quality.
Requirements
- Hold an EASA Part-FCL ATPL(A), CPL(A)/IR with ATPL theory credit, or MPL.
- Complete advanced UPRT under the applicable EASA requirement.
- Hold a valid A320 type rating and multiengine instrument rating with PBN.
- Have at least 800 hours on the A320 family.
- Hold a Class 1 medical certificate.
- Provide complete documentary evidence of flying performance and experience.
- Hold Swiss citizenship or an EU-27/EFTA passport.
- Demonstrate German at B2 or higher and English at ICAO Level 4 or higher.
- Have a clean personal record and meet the stated vaccination policy.
- Be between 160 and 198 centimetres tall and no older than 56.
