Overview

Edelweiss Air is recruiting an experienced Airbus A320 First Officer for a full-time position based in Zurich. The vacancy offers pilots with at least 1,800 A320 hours a fast-track opportunity to retrain onto the A350 and move into long-haul operations after joining. The First Officer supports safe, punctual, efficient, and customer-focused flying while coordinating with the commander, other crew members, ground teams, and air traffic control. All duties begin from the Zurich home base. The employer is specifically looking for already qualified Airbus pilots with a documented performance history, strong German and English, and citizenship eligibility within Switzerland or the EU/EFTA area.

Responsibilities

- Operate Edelweiss aircraft safely and efficiently while supporting punctuality and service quality.
- Prepare and conduct flights in accordance with Edelweiss procedures.
- Coordinate with flight crew, ground personnel, and air traffic control.
- Support the commander in all operational matters and act as deputy when required.
- Maintain sound aircraft-systems knowledge and exercise responsible judgement.

Requirements

  • Hold an EASA Part-FCL ATPL with a current Airbus A320 type rating.
  • Have at least 1,800 flight hours on the Airbus A320.
  • Hold a Class 1 medical certificate.
  • Provide a fully documented flying record, including current simulator and line checks, with a strong performance profile.
  • Submit a motivation letter.
  • Demonstrate very good German and English, including English at B2 and ICAO Level 4.
  • Have an unblemished record and demonstrate integrity, maturity, loyalty, social competence, and leadership potential.
  • Be a Swiss citizen or a citizen of an EU-27 or EFTA state.
