Overview

Aerowest's OCC Pilot Trainee Programme combines an initial year in operational control with a planned transition to cockpit duties. During the first nine to twelve months, the trainee learns flight planning, fuel management, airport and handling coordination, customer support, and crew travel planning. A type rating on the Cessna 425 Conquest, or another aircraft required by the operation, follows that OCC phase. The later flying assignment covers executive charter and air-ambulance missions across Europe and beyond. Prior commercial flying experience is expressly not required.

Responsibilities

- Plan and monitor Aerowest flights from the operations control centre.
- Prepare flight plans and support fuel-management decisions.
- Coordinate airports, handling providers, customer requests and quotations.
- Arrange crew assignments and crew travel.
- Complete commercial and administrative work connected with flights and orders.
- Progress to executive charter and air-ambulance cockpit operations after the OCC phase.

Requirements

  • Hold a valid CPL with instrument privileges and completed ATPL(A) theory.
  • Speak German and English fluently.
  • Hold a Class B driving licence.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, service orientation and operational commitment.
  • No previous flight experience is required for entry.
