Overview
Air Alliance is recruiting a Head of Operations to lead operational personnel and help combine its flight-school activities while serving as the nominated flight-operations postholder under the operator certificate. The position blends regulatory leadership, daily operational oversight, training governance, manual development, audit readiness, and cross-functional coordination. A suitably qualified appointee may also fly as captain. The employer seeks an experienced aviation leader with professional pilot and instructional credentials, multi-crew jet command exposure, commercial awareness, and the organisational ability to manage complex projects and deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Lead operational personnel and maintain compliant flight operations.
- Develop operational processes, standards, and manuals.
- Coordinate with executive, safety, compliance, maintenance, training, and ground functions.
- Prepare for audits and communicate with aviation authorities.
- Oversee day-to-day planning, training, and flight activity.
- Promote reliable and economically sound operations.
- Operate as captain when appropriately qualified.
Requirements
- Bring several years of aviation leadership experience.
- Hold a valid ATPL(A), a current jet type rating, and PIC experience on multi-crew jet aircraft.
- Hold current instructor and examiner qualifications.
- Have substantial training experience within an ATO or airline environment.
- Demonstrate experience organising complex projects and meeting deadlines.
- Show commercial judgement and strong cross-functional communication skills.
- Prior nominated flight-operations postholder or German authority approval is preferred.
