Overview
Airbus is seeking a C295 test pilot to support the final assembly line in Vadodara, India. The position plans, flies and reports production and acceptance test activity while maintaining close coordination with the Airbus Defence and Space flight-test organisation. It combines aircraft handling with dispatch preparation, technical configuration control, airport coordination and formal reporting. The pilot also acts as an operational interface with the local assembly line, authorities and air traffic services. Candidates need recognised test-pilot training, command qualification on the C295, strong English and the leadership required to manage safe test operations at the base and during detachments.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, conduct and report C295 ground and flight-test activity.
- Maintain safe operations at the base and during detachments.
- Coordinate technical matters with the Airbus Defence and Space chief test pilot.
- Complete dispatch work including weather, NOTAM and flight-plan review.
- Control technical logbook and aircraft-configuration information.
- Coordinate with the assembly line, airport, air traffic services and customer representatives.
- Apply company policies and support the agreed production schedule.
Requirements
- Graduate of a recognised test-pilot course.
- Qualified C295 captain.
- English proficiency equivalent to EASA level 5.
- Experience controlling technical logbook and configuration information.
- Strong leadership, communication and coordination skills.
- Availability for occasional travel, including assignments in Spain.
