Overview
Singapore Airlines is recruiting Airbus A350 and A380 Direct Entry Captains on fixed-term contracts of up to twelve months. Successful candidates are assigned to one of the two fleets and receive the relevant company training. This opportunity requires a current airline transport licence and type rating that Singapore's aviation authority already recognises or can validate. The experience profile is explicitly command-focused, combining substantial overall flight time, international commercial-jet PIC experience and a significant amount of command time on the A350 or A380. Selection may include interviews, simulator assessment and medical evaluation. Candidates also need an authority-recognised medical, advanced operational English and sufficient reach to operate all flight deck controls safely.
Requirements
- Hold a Class 1 medical recognised by, or validatable through, CAAS.
- Hold an ATPL with an A350 or A380 type rating recognised or validatable by CAAS.
- Have at least 7,000 total flight hours.
- Have at least 3,000 PIC hours on commercial jets in international operations.
- Have at least 1,500 PIC hours on the A350 or A380.
- Have at least two years of Captain experience on the A350 or A380 before applying.
- Demonstrate ICAO English proficiency at Level 5 or higher.
- Meet the minimum height requirement of 1.58 metres.
- Complete the required interviews, simulator and medical assessments.
