Overview
Airbus is recruiting a synthetic flight instructor to deliver type-rating and operational training for crews transitioning to Airbus aircraft. Instruction spans theoretical subjects, fixed-base and full-flight simulation, aircraft performance, and operational procedures. The instructor also monitors trainee progress, identifies additional training needs, contributes to programme development, and supports standardisation and simulator-quality activities. The role requires substantial airline flying experience, multi-pilot aircraft exposure, and Airbus fly-by-wire time, together with strong operational English and the ability to teach effectively in a multicultural training environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver technical, operational, and performance instruction for Airbus conversion courses.
- Teach through fixed training devices, fixed-base simulators, and full-flight simulators.
- Assess trainee progress and recommend additional training where necessary.
- Maintain instructional standardisation across assigned programmes.
- Review and help develop course material and training programmes.
- Support audits and flight-simulation training-device qualification work.
- Promote sound airmanship in a multicultural setting.
Requirements
- Hold, or have previously held, a CPL with frozen ATPL theory or a valid ATPL.
- Have at least 3,000 total flight hours.
- Have at least 1,500 hours on multi-pilot aircraft.
- Have at least 1,500 hours on Airbus fly-by-wire aircraft.
- Demonstrate aviation English at ICAO Level 5 or higher.
- Instructor or examiner experience is advantageous.
- Prior completion of an Airbus instructor course is advantageous.
