Overview
AirMed International is recruiting a fixed-wing pilot in command for King Air 200 medical transport operations from San Antonio. The captain exercises final authority for assigned Part 135 missions, supervises any additional crewmember, and works a rotating seven-days-on, seven-days-off schedule from the base hangar. The role coordinates aircraft readiness with the operations centre, maintains operational communication, and complies with company manuals, federal regulations, and operations specifications. Applicants need an unrestricted FAA ATP or eligibility for one, substantial airplane and command experience, and mission-specific qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Exercise final authority for the safe conduct of assigned flights.
- Supervise other assigned flight crewmembers.
- Coordinate aircraft mission readiness with the global operations centre.
- Comply with applicable regulations, operations specifications and the operating manual.
- Distribute pertinent flight information through the operational-control structure.
- Attend required training, meetings and check flights.
- Assist with aircraft towing, hangar movements, de-icing and flight preparation when needed.
Requirements
- Hold, or be eligible for, an unrestricted FAA ATP certificate.
- Hold a current FAA First or Second Class medical certificate.
- Have at least 2,500 airplane hours in total.
- Have at least 1,000 airplane PIC hours.
- Have 500 multi-engine land hours and 100 hours in type.
- Have 75 instrument hours, including 50 actual, and meet the published Part 135 categories.
- Hold a valid United States passport and unrestricted travel capability.
- Live in, or relocate to, San Antonio and work rotating day or night duties.
