Overview
Jazz Aviation offers permanent, full-time First Officer careers across its Canadian regional passenger network. Pilots operate short- and medium-haul services within Canada and to the United States, supported by structured training and professional development. Toronto is identified as the primary location, while operational bases also include Montréal, Calgary, and Vancouver; new-hire assignments are made during ground school according to operational needs. Candidates need at least 500 total flight hours, a Transport Canada commercial licence, multi-engine and current Group 1 instrument ratings, a Class 1 medical, and the required IATRA or ATPL examinations. Requirements
- Hold a valid Transport Canada commercial pilot licence.
- Hold a valid Transport Canada multi-engine rating.
- Hold a current Transport Canada Group 1 instrument rating and meet its recency requirements.
- Have passed the IATRA within the preceding 24 months or passed the ATPL written examinations.
- Meet the Transport Canada English-language proficiency standard.
- Hold a valid Transport Canada Class 1 medical certificate.
- Be able to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card.
- Hold a current passport when hired.
- Be a Canadian citizen or unrestricted permanent resident; permanent residents must maintain any crew visas needed for United States operations.
- Hold a high-school diploma.
- Have at least 500 hours of total flight time.
