Overview
Jet Aviation is recruiting a lead captain for a Miami-based Global 8000 flight operation. The role combines aircraft command with leadership of the assigned crew, operational planning, training oversight, standards, documentation, and coordination of flight-department activity. The captain is accountable for safe missions, passenger and crew briefings, discrepancy management, and professional representation of the client and operator. Candidates need extensive fixed-wing, command, multi-engine, turbine, instrument, and night experience, together with federal airline transport credentials and the flexibility to support a variable worldwide travel schedule.
Responsibilities
- Command assigned flights and maintain safe operation of the Global 8000.
- Complete pre-flight and post-flight planning, including weather, routing, and required documentation.
- Lead, mentor, schedule, and monitor the performance and training of assigned crewmembers.
- Maintain knowledge of aircraft systems, procedures, manuals, and operational limitations.
- Brief passengers and crew and manage operational or maintenance discrepancies.
- Support hiring, recordkeeping, safety reporting, and flight-department administration.
- Represent the operator and client professionally during every assignment.
Requirements
- Hold an FAA ATP certificate and a valid FAA First Class medical certificate.
- Have at least 3,500 hours of fixed-wing flight time.
- Have at least 1,500 PIC hours.
- Have at least 1,500 hours in multi-engine aircraft.
- Have at least 500 hours in turbojet aircraft.
- Have at least 500 hours in turbine aircraft.
- Have at least 100 hours of night flight time.
- Have at least 75 hours of simulated instrument time.
- Hold a high-school diploma and a valid driving licence.
- Be available for variable scheduling and unrestricted worldwide travel.
