Overview

National Airlines is hiring a Boeing 777 Captain for worldwide cargo and outsourced-aircraft operations from its Orlando flight-operations organisation. The captain has overall responsibility for safe and reliable flight conduct, including crew legality and fitness, checklist compliance, preflight information, and the protection of crew, passengers, and cargo. The vacancy requires substantial total time, an unrestricted professional certificate, current medical and radio credentials, and international travel documents. A separate 1,000-hour qualification may be satisfied with either pilot-in-command or qualifying second-in-command experience, so it is not recorded as a universal PIC minimum. Crews must remain eligible to enter every jurisdiction served by the airline.

Responsibilities

- Protect the safety of all crew, passengers and cargo aboard the aircraft.
- Direct the safe conduct of each flight from aircraft movement through engine shutdown.
- Ensure mandatory and normal-procedure checklists are completed.
- Verify that every crew member is properly certificated, scheduled and rested.
- Obtain all information needed to conduct the flight safely.
- Carry out additional command responsibilities assigned by the operations manual.
- Support the company's safety-management policy and reporting objectives.

Requirements

  • Hold a current unrestricted FAA ATP with airplane multiengine privileges and an English endorsement.
  • Hold a current FAA First Class medical certificate.
  • Hold an FCC restricted radiotelephone permit.
  • Have at least 5,000 hours of total flight time.
  • Have at least 1,000 qualifying PIC or SIC hours under the specified federal operating rule.
  • Meet the mandatory retirement provisions applicable to National pilots.
  • Hold a passport valid for at least one year and all visas required for international operations.
  • United States-based pilots must be authorised to work in the country.
  • Keep travel and health documentation current for every operating jurisdiction.
  • Be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
