Overview
Emirates is seeking experienced instructors for a non-flying, ground-based Synthetic Flight Instructor position in Dubai focused on Boeing training. The role is part of Emirates Flight Training and uses simulator devices plus ground-school instruction within the airline's competency-based and evidence-based training framework. Instructors deliver initial and continuing programmes, assess pilot performance, document results electronically, recommend extra training where needed, and help improve instructional quality and safety. The vacancy is intended for former or current professional pilots who have recent instructional or examiner experience and substantial flight time on multi-pilot aeroplanes.
Responsibilities
- Deliver type-rating, recurrent, recency, and ground-school training to company and regulatory standards.
- Complete detailed assessments and submit reports through the electronic system.
- Recommend remedial or additional instruction when a pilot does not meet the required standard.
- Advise training management on possible improvements to safety, efficiency, and instructional methods.
- Support course development, special projects, and other training initiatives.
Requirements
- Hold, or have previously held, a CPL, MPL, or ATPL.
- Have at least 12 months of active experience as an instructor or examiner.
- Have at least 1,500 flight hours as a pilot on multi-pilot aeroplanes.
- Demonstrate advanced communication and leadership skills.
