Overview
Emirates Flight Training Academy is recruiting a flying instructor in Dubai to deliver ab-initio training across flight, simulator and classroom environments. The instructor briefs cadets, assesses performance, reports progress and supports the academy’s safety and instructional-development programmes. The criteria seek an experienced instructor from a large approved training organisation, with specified total, teaching and instrument experience. Applicants need a GCAA or ICAO commercial or airline transport licence, relevant instructor privileges, current medical fitness and strong operational English. The role also requires familiarity with modern training techniques and everyday computer systems.
Responsibilities
- Deliver ab-initio instruction in aircraft, simulators and classrooms.
- Conduct student briefings and competency checks.
- Monitor cadet performance and report progress accurately.
- Apply safety procedures and report hazards or incidents.
- Support the chief flying instructor’s training initiatives.
- Help improve instructional methods and standardisation.
Requirements
- Have substantial ab-initio instructional experience in a large approved training organisation.
- Have at least 700 hours of total flight time.
- Have at least 500 hours of instructional time.
- Have at least 200 hours of IFR experience.
- Hold a GCAA or ICAO CPL or ATPL with a single-engine class rating.
- Hold a flight-instructor rating with night and instrument privileges.
- Hold an unrestricted Class 1 medical certificate.
- Demonstrate English proficiency at ICAO Level 5 or higher.
- Understand instructional techniques and training methodologies.
- Be computer literate.
