Overview
Network Aviation, part of the Qantas Group, is recruiting E190 training and checking captains for Perth. The position combines line command with the delivery and assessment of pilot training, supporting consistent standards and a strong safety culture across the E190 operation. Candidates need substantial airline experience, current or previous command on the Embraer 170/190 family and a record of training or checking on multi-crew transport jets. The licence may originate from the national authority of an ICAO contracting state, but applicants must be able to secure the required Australian validation or airline transport licence before operating. Medical, instrument, language, security and travel conditions also apply.
Responsibilities
- Command E190 services within the Network Aviation operation.
- Deliver pilot training and checking to approved company standards.
- Assess crew performance and provide clear developmental feedback.
- Support instructor standardisation and consistent operational procedures.
- Promote a strong safety, learning and reporting culture.
- Maintain training, checking and line-operation records as required.
Requirements
- At least 4,000 hours of total flight time.
- Current or previous E170/190 type rating and command experience.
- Training or checking experience on multi-crew transport-category jets.
- ATPL(A) issued by the national authority of an ICAO contracting state.
- Ability to obtain the required Australian licence validation or ATPL.
- Current Class 1 medical and instrument proficiency check.
- ICAO English proficiency level 5 or higher.
- Valid passport and ability to satisfy Australian security and employment screening.
