Overview
Scoot's Singapore direct-entry A320 captain occupies the left seat, takes command, protects safe and punctual service, and develops other crew members. Applicants need more than 3,500 hours on aeroplanes of at least 5,700 kilograms and 1,000 PIC hours on multi-engine jet transports certified for multi-crew use; supervised command does not count. The licence must be a CAAS-issued ICAO ATPL, or a foreign ATPL converted through a current instrument rating and proficiency check with six months remaining. English begins at ICAO level 4 and CAAS vaccination rules apply. Employer-funded type training may carry cost-sharing and a training bond.

Requirements
- Have more than 3,500 hours on aeroplanes with a maximum take-off mass of at least 5,700 kilograms.
- Have at least 1,000 PIC hours, excluding supervised command, on multi-engine jet airline aircraft certified for multi-crew operation.
- Hold a CAAS-issued ICAO ATPL or complete conversion of a foreign ATPL.
- Foreign-licence conversion requires an instrument rating and proficiency check with at least six months' validity.
- Demonstrate ICAO English level 4 or higher.
- Meet vaccination requirements imposed by CAAS.
- Accept training cost-sharing and a training bond where type training is provided.
