Overview
Scoot is recruiting experienced Boeing 787 type-rated Captains for direct entry into its expanding Singapore wide-body operation. The role places the pilot in command of passenger services and combines operational leadership with responsibility for safe, comfortable, and punctual flights. Captains are expected to model high professional standards, work effectively as team leaders, and help develop other crew members while delivering the airline's passenger experience. The vacancy offers variable roster patterns assigned under company and regulatory requirements and uses a Singapore assessment centre for shortlisted candidates. Selection includes online aptitude testing, group and individual assessment stages, a simulator evaluation, and a personality assessment. Type-rating training, when supplied, may carry cost-sharing and bond conditions.
Responsibilities
- Command assigned flights while maintaining consistently high personal and professional standards.
- Ensure services operate safely, comfortably, and on time.
- Lead by example and help develop crew members who deliver the airline's passenger experience.
Requirements
- Be an experienced Boeing 787 type-rated Captain.
- Have more than 5,000 hours on aeroplanes with a maximum take-off mass of at least 5,700 kilograms.
- Have at least 2,000 PIC hours, excluding supervised command, on multi-engine jet commercial aircraft certified for multi-crew operation.
- Hold a CAAS-issued ICAO ATPL or complete the required conversion of a foreign ATPL.
- For foreign-licence conversion, hold an instrument rating and a proficiency check with at least six months of validity.
- Demonstrate English proficiency at ICAO Level 4 or higher.
- Meet vaccination requirements imposed by CAAS.
- Accept applicable type-rating training cost-sharing and bond conditions.
