Overview
Vectored Approach is recruiting a Vision Jet captain for charter operations based in Austin. The pilot-in-command is responsible for safe Part 135 missions, regulatory and procedural compliance, passenger safety and comfort, operational decisions, aircraft readiness, and personal currency. The position requires a current SF50 type rating and federal airline transport and medical credentials, together with extensive total, command, and turbine-command experience. It suits a customer-focused captain who understands both Part 91 and Part 135 operations, can work an irregular schedule, and maintains a clean professional operating record.
Responsibilities
- Command Vision Jet charter flights safely under Part 135 requirements.
- Comply with FAA regulations, company procedures, and standard operating practices.
- Protect passenger safety and comfort and provide professional service.
- Make operational decisions appropriate to each mission.
- Maintain aircraft cleanliness, readiness, qualification, and personal currency.
Requirements
- Hold a current SF50 type rating.
- Hold an FAA ATP certificate and a valid FAA First Class medical certificate.
- Hold an FCC radio operator permit.
- Have at least 3,000 hours of total flight time.
- Have at least 2,000 PIC hours.
- Have at least 1,000 turbine PIC hours, preferably in jets.
- Understand Part 91 and Part 135 operations.
- Bring corporate or charter aviation experience.
- Have no aviation violations, accidents, or incidents.
- Be available for an irregular operating schedule.
