Overview
Vectored Approach is hiring a Chief Pilot for its Cirrus SF50 Vision Jet operation in Austin. The role oversees pilots, training, checking, operational control and scheduling while keeping the Part 135 operation compliant. The Chief Pilot liaises with the FAA, validates records and reports, supports customer service and maintains aircraft presentation standards. Candidates need an FAA ATP, SF50 type rating, current First-Class medical and PIC service in Part 121 or Part 135 operations for three of the previous six years. Strong regulatory knowledge, leadership capability, a clean professional record and availability for irregular schedules are also required.
Responsibilities
- Maintain compliance across the Part 135 flight operation.
- Supervise pilots, training and checking activity.
- Oversee operational control and flight scheduling.
- Liaise with the FAA and support regulatory matters.
- Validate required records and operational reports.
- Support customer service and aircraft presentation standards.
Requirements
- Hold an FAA ATP appropriate to the operation.
- Hold an SF50 type rating.
- Hold a current First-Class medical certificate.
- Have served as PIC in Part 121 or Part 135 operations for three of the previous six years.
- Understand Part 135 regulations and operational requirements.
- Demonstrate leadership and management capability.
- Have no disqualifying violations or accident history.
- Be available for irregular schedules.
