Overview

Pan Am Flight Academy is recruiting a general manager for training operations and flight standards in Miami. The position leads instructional delivery, regulatory compliance, quality, records, courseware, customer programmes, and the credentialing and performance of instructors. It requires a senior aviation training professional who can qualify as a training centre evaluator and who brings extensive instructor, check-airman, or management experience. The manager works across operational, regulatory, commercial, and administrative priorities, ensuring that programmes remain standardised, documented, responsive to clients, and aligned with the academy's approved training framework.

Responsibilities

- Lead flight-training operations and maintain instructional standards.
- Oversee regulatory compliance, quality controls, manuals, records, and courseware.
- Manage customer training programmes and related operational coordination.
- Maintain instructor credentials, standardisation, and performance expectations.
- Coordinate with regulators and support required approvals and inspections.
- Ensure training documentation and programme delivery remain current and consistent.

Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Have at least five years of related professional experience.
  • Have at least ten years of experience as an instructor, check airman, or aviation manager.
  • Be able to qualify as a training centre evaluator.
  • Hold an ATP certificate and a suitable aircraft type rating.
  • Demonstrate strong computer, communication, teamwork, and customer-service capability.
