Overview

Jet OUT is seeking a flying Base Chief Pilot for its Dallas–Fort Worth operation. The manager is the primary supervisor and contact for pilots assigned to the base while remaining current as a Citation CJ4 commander. The position combines line flying with staffing, training, checking, performance management, schedule coordination, policy implementation, and liaison work with operational leaders and local service providers. Some travel supports training and activity at other company bases. The role reports to the Chief Pilot and is designed for an experienced airline or charter captain who can maintain regulatory standards, resolve personnel issues professionally, and reinforce a safety-focused operating culture.

Responsibilities

- Supervise pilots assigned to the Dallas–Fort Worth base and act as their principal contact.
- Maintain proficiency and currency as a Citation CJ4 pilot in command.
- Support pilot interviews, hiring, onboarding, mentoring and separation processes.
- Coordinate flight-crew training and conduct authorised recurrent checks.
- Complete pilot performance reviews and address local performance or disciplinary matters.
- Manage local and commuter pilot schedules.
- Maintain required crew duty, qualification and operational records.
- Coordinate base communication, procedures, safety matters and local service-provider relationships.

Requirements

  • Have at least two years of Part 121 or Part 135 operating experience.
  • Have at least one year of turbojet PIC experience.
  • Hold an ATP certificate with airplane multiengine land privileges.
  • Hold a current First Class medical certificate.
  • Have at least 3,500 hours of total flight time.
  • Have at least 1,500 hours on multiengine aircraft.
  • Have at least 500 hours on turbofan aircraft.
  • Hold a valid driving licence and FCC restricted radiotelephone permit.
  • Live within one hour of Fort Worth.
  • A CE-525 type rating, CJ4 time, a bachelor's degree and management experience are preferred.
  • Be able to travel for training and operational support.
