Overview

Woolpert is recruiting a survey pilot for aerial geospatial work based from Johannesburg. The position supports field deployments and requires pilots to remain away from home for periods of up to six weeks while operating the company’s survey missions. Applicants need a commercial licence, current medical, instrument and night privileges, the stated total and twin-engine experience, a passport and schedule flexibility. Turbine and prior aerial-survey experience are advantageous, as are current operational-safety courses and qualifications on the listed survey aircraft. No command-hour minimum or licence authority is published.

Responsibilities

- Conduct aerial survey and geospatial data-collection missions.
- Support field deployments away from base for periods of up to six weeks.

Requirements

  • Hold a Commercial Pilot Licence and valid medical certificate.
  • Have at least 1,000 hours of total flight time.
  • Hold night and instrument ratings.
  • Have at least 120 hours on twin-engine aircraft.
  • Hold a valid passport.
  • Be available for deployments of up to six weeks.
  • Turbine and aerial-survey experience are preferred.
  • Current CRM, dangerous-goods, SEPT and safety-management training is advantageous.
  • F406, PA31 or P68 qualifications are advantageous.
