Overview
Bryce Corporation is seeking a corporate pilot in Memphis to transport company passengers aboard Sabre 465 and Sabre 770 jets and a Cessna 414. The pilot reports to the Chief Pilot and supports assigned operational responsibilities, from reviewing planned flights and aircraft documentation through departure, en-route operation, and post-flight recording. The position requires careful assessment of aircraft loading, fuel, weather, routing, and scheduling, with authority to request changes when needed for safety. It also involves aircraft-system checks before engine start, radio coordination for clearance, compliance with company and government procedures, and accurate recording of flight activity and fuel use. Limited aircraft maintenance or repair work may also be assigned.
Responsibilities
- Support the Chief Pilot with delegated duties and communicate each assigned flight.
- Review aircraft records, loading, fuel, weather, routing, and the planned schedule.
- Direct changes to fuel, payload, routing, or timing when required for flight safety.
- Check oil, hydraulic, fuel, and cabin-pressure indications before engine start.
- Start and taxi the aircraft, then verify systems and controls before departure.
- Obtain air traffic clearance and operate the aircraft through the assigned flight.
- Follow the flight plan and applicable company, airport, and federal procedures.
- Record flight time, altitude, fuel use, and other required operational information.
Requirements
- Hold a commercial pilot licence.
- Have more than five years of experience flying commercial jet and non-jet aircraft.
- Maintain at least a second-class medical certificate.
- Interact effectively and tactfully with varied personalities while remaining mature and flexible.
- Be resourceful and well organized.
