Overview

Lockheed Martin is hiring a C-130J Production and Training Pilot in Marietta, Georgia. The pilot conducts acceptance and functional checks on newly assembled aircraft, delivery and ferry missions, engineering and experimental tests, and training for company and customer aircrew. The role also contributes operational expertise to flight-test planning, engineering, manuals, temporary procedures and design or readiness reviews. Demonstration and airshow flying may form part of the assignment. This is a full-time on-site position requiring United States citizenship, access to a restricted facility and eligibility for a Top Secret clearance. It suits an experienced C-130J instructor with strong multiengine command time and an FAA commercial or airline transport certificate.

Responsibilities

- Fly C-130J production acceptance and functional check missions.
- Conduct delivery, ferry, engineering and experimental test flights.
- Provide classroom, simulator and airborne instruction to company and customer crews.
- Support demonstration and airshow flights when assigned.
- Provide pilot input to engineering, test, training and customer-support teams.
- Develop or review flight-test procedures, plans and operating limitations.
- Validate and update flight manuals and technical source material.
- Participate in safety, readiness and design reviews.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1,500 hours of multiengine total flight time.
  • Have at least 1,000 PIC or Aircraft Commander hours.
  • Have at least 300 PIC hours in transport-category aircraft.
  • Have C-130J pilot experience.
  • Hold an FAA Commercial Pilot or ATP certificate.
  • Be a current or formerly qualified military Instructor Pilot.
  • Hold or obtain an FAA First or Second Class medical within 30 days of hire.
  • Be a United States citizen able to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
  • Current C-130J instructor, examiner and flight-test experience are preferred.
