Overview
PlaneSmart is seeking a Learjet pilot in command for its managed-aircraft operation in Addison. Candidates need an FAA ATP, a qualifying FAA medical certificate, and a valid U.S. passport. The logbook profile requires 2,000 total hours, 1,000 airplane PIC, 500 cross-country, 100 night, 75 instrument, and 500 multi-engine turbine hours; 50 instrument hours must have been completed in flight. One hundred hours on Learjet equipment is preferred, as are a comparable type rating and previous Part 135 experience. The role is aimed at an established commander prepared to deliver safe, compliant, client-focused trips in a professional business-aviation environment.
Responsibilities
- Command assigned Learjet flights safely and efficiently.
- Prepare and conduct trips in accordance with company and regulatory procedures.
- Coordinate with crew, operations personnel, and clients throughout each assignment.
Requirements
- Hold an FAA airline transport pilot certificate.
- Maintain an FAA First Class medical certificate; the certification section also references Second Class eligibility.
- Hold a valid U.S. passport.
- Have at least 2,000 total hours and 1,000 airplane PIC hours.
- Have 500 cross-country, 100 night, and 75 instrument hours, including 50 hours in flight.
- Have at least 500 multi-engine turbine hours.
- One hundred hours on type, a similar rating, and Part 135 experience are preferred.
