Overview
PSA Airlines is recruiting a full-time Simulator Instructor at its Charlotte training centre. The instructor delivers early-stage training in a full-flight simulator, with occasional classroom work, for pilots entering, transitioning, or upgrading within the regional airline. The position also supports training administration by tracking student progress, completing records, and helping maintain departmental procedures and goals. It is not a line-qualified or pilot-seniority-list role. Applicants must hold an airline transport licence and be eligible for a CL-65 pilot-in-command type rating, communicate effectively in English, and be authorised to work in the United States. Prior Part 121 instructing or checking experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Deliver early-stage instruction in a full-flight simulator.
- Provide occasional ground instruction.
- Train pilots entering initial, upgrade and transition programmes.
- Follow company standard operating procedures.
- Complete and retain student training records.
- Support developmental assignments from training leadership.
- Contribute to safety-management and safety-assurance processes.
Requirements
- Hold a high-school diploma or equivalent.
- Be eligible for a CL-65 pilot-in-command type rating.
- Hold an Airline Transport Pilot licence.
- Communicate effectively in spoken and written English.
- Be authorised to work in the United States.
- Pass the required criminal-history records check.
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Previous Part 121 check-airman or instructor experience is preferred.
